Video Contest

Contest Rules
1.    Submissions must be from students or student teams currently enrolled at Indiana University
2.    Submissions are limited to a minimum of 2:00 minutes and a maximum length of 5:00 minutes, with an optional student introduction of 30 seconds or less.
3.    The video must portray elders being phished/scammed as well as successfully avoiding being   phished/scammed.  There are many types of phishing you may choose from, including bank account takeover, retirement account take over, password gleaning to take over email and paypal, etc, and identity theft (e.g. steal credentials to take out new credit cards).
4.    The video should have multiple segments.  It is expected the viewers of the video will view a segment, then answer some questions about their perceptions of that segment.  We suggest the following three segments:
a.    Show the mechanics of the threat without detailing it.
b.    Show why it is a threat (the risk involved).
c.    Illustrate a successful strategy for risk avoidance.
5.    Team leaders must send an e-mail letter of intent on or before October 30th to: Carol Ruppe, mcruppe1954@gmail.com.  Letter of intent should include all team members names and IU email addresses.
6.    Applicants must post one (1) copy of the video to the Project Site (details will be provided after submission of the letter of intent)
7.    A signed release form must be included for each person appearing (including image, voice or any other likeness or description) in video and a signed release form granting publishing clearance from each creator(s) of the submission
8.    Video must be APPROPRIATE for all audiences
9.    Citations MUST be provided for all copyrighted materials used in the video
10.    Permission to use copyrighted materials MUST be obtained for all copyrighted materials used in the video.
11.    Videos must be submitted NO LATER than Dec. 11th, 2009.  LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
12.    All submissions become the property of Indiana University.
13.    The wining video will become part of a federally funded project.
14.    Members of the winning team will be considered for positions to develop future videos for the project.
15.    The wining team will receive a total of $1000.00 (one thousand dollar) in gift cards from retailers of their choice (e.g., Amazon, Best Buy, Target, etc).
16.    Winners will be announced by January 15th, 2010.
